Using Coverleaf.com
- What is Coverleaf?
- Coverleaf.com is a service that provides digital editions of many of your favorite magazines allowing you to conveniently read your magazine anywhere with Internet access. No software downloads are required. If you are a current print edition subscriber, you can access your magazines for free by verifying your subscription. You can also browse the selection of magazines on coverleaf.com and look inside any issue for a free preview. If you opt to register on coverleaf.com, you can clip, save and share pages from any issue. Coverleaf is provided by Texterity, a leading provider of digital publishing services, in partnership with leading publishing and fulfillment companies.
- What is a Digital Edition? A Digital Companion Edition?
- A Digital Edition is an exact replica of the print edition and contains all the content of the print magazine, including articles and advertising, all in vivid color. With coverleaf.com, there is no software to download. You need only a web browser to read the digital editions since the issues are made available in the unique Texterity “Published Web Format”. And because the edition is digital, you can search text, hot link for more features or to access advertiser promotions, automatically access back issues and more. A digital companion edition is a digital edition that is included free with a print magazine subscription.
- I can’t find the magazine I want.
- We are working hard to add many of your favorite magazines to Coverleaf. We are adding new magazines every month, so check back often. Please contact us and let us know what magazine you’d like to see, and we’ll contact the publisher and let them know. To see a list of all magazines currently available on coverleaf.com, check out the “All Categories” category.
- How do I access my digital editions?
- There are several ways to access your digital editions. The easiest is to register on coverleaf.com. You can save any issue in my stuff to find it easily. If you are a current print subscriber and verify your subscription, you can save that issue and all back issues in my stuff. Also, any digital magazines you purchase or clippings you save will be in my stuff. And, you will receive notifications of new issues by email. Finally, you can click the RSS button on the navigation bar of the magazine reader to add notifications of that magazine into your RSS feed.
- What is look inside?
- If you select a magazine and click the look inside button, you can see a free preview of that magazine without being a subscriber. It’s a great way to browse new magazines. You can peruse a few pages or look through the table of contents to see each article. You can also clip, save and share individual pages if you register on coverleaf.com. Don’t hesitate to give it a try and check out some new magazines. To return to Coverleaf, just click on the coverleaf.com logo on the far right of the navigation bar.
- How can I access a back issue of a magazine?
- If you are currently a print subscriber to any magazine carried on coverleaf.com, you can access the back issues of that magazine by clicking the current print subscriber button and verifying your subscription. Once it has been verified, you will have access to current and past issues in my stuff. The number and date of the archives differs by magazine and is based on the decisions made by the individual publishers. Moving forward, all current and future magazines that appear on Coverleaf will be available in the digital archives.
- How can I search?
- You can search by any keyword, including the magazine title, across all magazines in Coverleaf or just those in your my stuff using the search field at the top of the Coverleaf page. Simply type your search term and click search. You can narrow your search by date, by magazine category and choose between all magazine or just those in your my stuff. It’s a powerful tool to find what you are looking for.
- What is your privacy policy?

Print Subscribers and Free Digital Companion Editions
- How do I receive my FREE Digital Edition?
- If you are currently a print subscriber, you are eligible for a free companion digital edition. Simply visit http://www.coverleaf.com www.coverleaf.com, browse or search for the title of the magazine you subscribe to and click “current print subscriber” to verify your subscription. Include your name and street address exactly as they are for your print subscription, and provide your email address where you want notifications sent for new digital edition issues. Our system will immediately verify with the publisher that you are a print subscriber, we’ll make the current issue available to you instantly. And, Coverleaf will send email notices of each new issue as it becomes available for as long as your subscription is in good standing.
- I signed up for free digital edition of my magazine, but it said “We were unable to process your initial request.” What’s up?
- The message is indicating that we were not able to match the subscription details you provided with the publisher’s record. But, don’t give up! The form will allow you to try again with a new option: your account number. But, the error could be for a few other reasons:
- your subscription is too new for us to find in the publisher’s records – please try again in 7-14 days
- your name and address weren’t a match in the system – be sure they are entered just as they were on the subscription (check the label on your print magazine)
- your subscription has expired – time to renew?
- we made an error when your subscription was first processed – contact us and we’ll fix it
- there was a momentary database error or network error – try again in a minute or so
- If none of these explanations sound applicable for your situation, just contact us and we’ll do all we can to resolve the problem.
- Can I get free digital editions when I purchase a print subscription?
- Yes! If you purchase a print subscription from Coverleaf, you get your digital edition emailed to you automatically. You’ll get your first digital issue immediately after purchasing your print subscription, and you will be notified of subsequent issues as they are published. If you buy your print subscription to a magazine carried on coverleaf.com from another source, just visit coverleaf.com and click on the current print subscriber button to verify your subscription. Fill out your name and street address exactly as they are for your print subscription, and tell us the email address where you want notifications sent for new digital edition issues. And, when you register for Coverleaf, you’ll also get easy access to your digital editions through my stuff.
- How is my print subscription account verified?
- On the home page, browse or search for the magazine you subscribe to, click current print subscriber button and fill out the form to verify your account. Your information is matched back to the original publisher’s records and a match is verified.
- Is the verification process secure?
- Yes, no personal information is retrieved from the publisher’s system. We simply supply your name and address and request an acknowledgment of the subscription to the magazine you specified. If the subscription is verified, we will receive info about the start and end dates of your subscription and nothing else.
- What if I subscribe to multiple titles?
- You will need to verify your subscription to each magazine title separately. There is no limit to the number of free digital companion editions you can access so check out the “All Categories” listing to find all your subscriptions.
- How can I get access to the digital edition if I am not a current print subscriber?
- On the home page, browse the categories or search and select the magazine you would like to access. Then click the purchase options button. Coverleaf offers digital single copies, full digital subscriptions and full print subscriptions with free digital companion for purchase.

Registering on Coverleaf.com
- Why should I register for Coverleaf.com?
- Registering is easy and free, all you need is an email address and a password of your choosing. As a registered user of coverleaf.com, you can clip and save pages out of any magazine, whether you’re a subscriber or not, and easily organize them in your my stuff tab. You can also access all of your free digital companion subscriptions, new digital subscriptions and single copies from your my stuff tab.
- How do I register on coverleaf.com?
- Click the Register for FREE link in the upper right-hand corner of the home page to register on coverleaf.com.
- How do I change the email address where I get my new issue notifications?
- If you are a registered user of Coverleaf, just sign in, and go to Manage My Account in the top right corner. You can change your email address there. If you are not registered, contact Coverleaf customer support and they can change the email address for you.
- What if I don’t have an email address?
- You must have an email address to use many of the features of Coverleaf including purchasing or signing up for free digital companions subscriptions. However, you can still browse, search and look inside all of the magazines without needing an email address.

Using My Stuff
- What is my stuff?
- You can use my stuff to organize your magazine issues, subscriptions and clippings. It’s easy. Simply register on coverleaf.com. When you select a magazine, click the add to my stuff button. Every time you log on to coverleaf.com, you will find your selected magazines under the my stuff tab – they’ll always be there for you. You can also use my stuff to clip and save pages from any magazine, and to find current and past issues of all the magazines you subscribe to when you verify your magazine subscription.
- How do I access my stuff?
- When you register and sign-in to coverleaf.com, click the my stuff tab to access all the issues, subscriptions and clippings you have saved.

Clipping and Saving
- How do I clip and save a magazine page?
- When you select a magazine to look inside you can use the clip pages button to select and clip any page to save in your my stuff area. You must register on coverleaf.com to clip and save. That way, each time you return to coverleaf.com and sign in you can find all your issues, subscriptions and clippings in my stuff. They’ll always be there for you.
- What is a clipping group?
- You can group your clippings together into groups and name those groups to help you organize all your stuff. From my stuff, click “new clicking group” to create an empty group. Then use your mouse to drag clippings and into that group. To rename the group, first select the clipping group from the bottom area in my stuff, then just click on the name of the clipping group shown above the list of individual clippings. Type in a new name and you’re done.

Sharing
- Can I share pages of magazines with my friends?
- Even if you aren’t a subscriber to a magazine, you can share a preview of pages with a friend for free. Select a magazine on Coverleaf and click look inside. Now as you have the full page of the magazine in view, click the “share” button on the navigation bar to send the current page to a friend. Just fill in the form with your name and email and the name and email of a friend – add a note if you like. Your friend can then open the email, click on the link inside and start enjoying the free benefits of Coverleaf, right from the page you sent them. If you are a verified print subscriber or digital subscriber to the magazine and you share with a friend, your friend will have full access to the whole magazine for a limited time (usually 30 days, but it may vary by magazine).
- Can I post a link to a page on my blog?
- While viewing a page you want to share (whether you are a subscriber or not), you can click the share button in the navigation bar. You will then have several options for sharing the current page on social networks or in blogs. Tell everyone and they can start enjoying Coverleaf too!
